I just came back from my geology lab where we had to identify minerals. While the scientific part of geology isn't really my thing, appreciating a nice mineral is. Amethyst is one of my favorite stones and here is a little info on it...
Amethyst is essentially quartz with a purple hue. It is a
stone of psychic awareness that has a calming and protective aura. It has been
used to help with:

and happiness.

- psychic

- any kind of
divination
- meditation
- pain of arthritis

- overcoming
